Embedded Data Map changes size in Word or PowerPoint due to zoom settings.
Cause:
This occurs when embedding or activating a Microsoft Data Map object in a document or slide while the zoom is set to other than 100 percent. When clicking on the document or slide to deactivate the Data Map object, the Data Map object resizes to the same proportion as the zoom. For example, if the zoom was set to 200 percent the object will increase to about twice its size.
Solution:
Change the zoom to 100 percent before inserting the object or adjust the map size manually.
Do one of the following:
1) Change the zoom to 100 percent BEFORE inserting the Data Map object.
2) Once the Data Map object is inserted, change the zoom to the desired setting.
3) Adjust the map size in the document or slide by dragging the sizing handles.
